Windy Ridge Mount St Helens 8x12
This image was taken on a trip to the Olympic Penninsula in June of 2006. There are two ways to access this beautiful area. One is off Interstate 5 from the west and the other is from the east via Windy Ridge. I think this is the nicest way. In the spring the wildflowers are thick in this area and they make a colorful foreground to Mt St Helens. The dome in the middle of the crater is rising at a rate of 3-5 meters per day, so one day this firey mountain will erupt again. If you want to spend a nice weekend this is a great area to tour through, either by car or it's also great on a motorcycle.
