This image was taken on a trip to Florida in the winter of 2009. Florida has abundant bird life along its coastline. This Flamingo was sleeping with one eye open watching me get closer. The background water was very dark and shaded so I let it go black in the printing, allowing the vibrant colour to "pop" in the image.
