This image was taken in victoria. The pond that held these fish had a waterfall at one end. The fish were all lined up to get the rich oxygenated water. I stood on a small foot bridge that was above them and took this image looking straight down on their backs. The water was very shalow at this point so the backs of the fish are very clear and brightly coloured. Koi can be prized fish to collectors and some are worth a small fortune depending on the markings they have. I usually mat this image with a black mat so it shows very dramatic and the colours "pop" out of the frame.
