This image was taken in Beacon Hill Park in Victoria. I used a 400mm lens handheld. I had to sneak up on her slowly a little bit at a time. She would close her eyes and I would move and when she opened them I would stop. Finally I got this shot. Most people think the male ducks have the nicest plummage. I don't agree. The brown patterns on this bird are beautiful.
