This image was taken on a trip to Knight Inlet in the fall of 2006. This Grizzly was swimming in a pool that held hundreds of Pink Salmon. He had just captured a salmon and was balancing it on his forearm. The image has a tenderness about it as if he was caressing it in his arms. So much for that...a moment later he took it to shore, tore it apart with his powerfull jaws and swallowed it.
