Coastal Black Bear 8x12
This image was taken on a trip to Knight Inlet in the spring of 2006. In the spring, coastal black bears go to the seashore to feed at low tides. This guy was walking along the shore turning over rocks and eating the blennys and other treats that live and hide under the rocks. Although it is hard to tell, this is a good sized bear. His coat is very black and shiney and he is in great shape. He is probably the nicest black bear I have ever seem. I shot this from a boat with a hand held image stabilized lens at 400mm.
