This image was taken in the early summer of 2006 at Port Angeles Washington. These are both well known Gaff Rigged Schooners. The Lynx was a "Privateer". When the Americans were fighting the British way back when, the Governor of the day gave special "Patents" to private vessels that allowed then to outfit with guns and attack the British merchant fleet. The Lynx gained some notoriety in its day as a Privateer.
