Algonquin Paper Birches 8x12
This image was taken on a trip to the east coast in the fall of 2009. Algonquin fall colours peak around the end of September.
This was reported to be the best fall colour in Algonquin in the last thirty years.
I love paper birches. This group had some beautiful red sugar maple behind to set off the contrast of the white birch bark. The ferns at the foot of the trees add nicely tot he composition. This is one of my favourite images.
